Our friend Julie is visiting from New York! She brought your mom’s new wide-angle lens… and she must have brought some NYC with her because (as friends point out on flickr) you look like you’re ready to start breakin’!

Another video from our morning “walks” so that you can know your time in Paris. Today’s destination: Sacre Coeur… naptime for you and a trip up to Montmartre’s Tissus Reine (a fabric store) for me — not on video because no one needs to hear your mom’s mediocre attempts at French. Music: Check it Out by Komeda.
Less blogging this week is a result of your going through either a growth spurt or maybe more teething… we’re not sure, but it’s sent your usually excellent sleep habits topsy-turvying into the unexpected. Getting no more than 1-2 hour spurts in the early parts of the night (keeping us busy until we go to bed with you), you’re only getting quality sleep from maybe midnight to 5am these days… poor kid!
When you woke up (very) early this morning, we called your Grandmas in California, since they hadn’t gone to bed yet. Thank goodness for Skype… you were happy to see them.

Another food video for your grandparents (and you!)… your first taste of Banana and learning how to feed yourself. (Also, a learning moment for your Mom: plates are distracting.)

Growing fast. Above, today. Below, 198 days ago (when you were 8 days old).

It’s not as easy as it used to be. You’re going through a bit of a tough time right now with your nighttime sleeping. It’s been a difficult transition for you, moving into your crib for the first part of the night. After I start the bedtime process by feeding you a warm bottle, you’ll fall asleep. But getting you to stay asleep is another story. Usually, you need mom’s help with that. It’s been a challenge for the entire family, even babysitters, but we’ll figure it out, hopefully before you leave for college. — Dad
